Hello! I'm Sabrina, currently living in NYC, and my passion for creativity is fueled by being able to create for others.

I’ve tackled all kinds of projects throughout my life, whether it was painting “abstract” art for my mom and grandma in the 1st grade, to receiving the Most Creative superlative in high school for always doing the homecoming banner for my class, to even content creation for various marketing roles throughout undergrad and post-grad. My whole life has centered around making things for others, but I think this passion stems from my immigrant father, who came to America from the Philippines as an Engineer. He’s a genius in his craft, with hands aged from tinkering with tools and machines all the time, and an ability to make anything work. However, as I’ve grown up, I’ve witnessed his only obstacle is technology. English is not his primary language and being someone who is now 65 years old, apps and websites have not been as kind to him.

While being a marketer, I have had great opportunities to contribute to unique projects where I could collaborate and lead diverse teams, design various assets that resonate with different audiences, and visualize data and research to help brands reach their goals. My roles have provided me with invaluable lessons, but as I heard the term “UX” become more popular, I dived into my own research about the field and realized that my values and goals in the ideal career that I dream of align exactly with what it means to be in UI/UX.

UI/UX helps users reach their goals and face challenges with confidence by making design accessible for all. It is intended to ease the struggles of people like my father. It is people like him who push me to pursue UI/UX, someone who has the power to create something for anyone and everyone.
