East Village Trek
Living in Murray Hill, it's so easy to take the 6 down to East Village. Instead of usually organizing a day with my friends to stroll around EV, I woke up one day and just walked all the way downtown. It was my first time truly having a solo day for myself outside in New York, and it was the start of many more solo trips in the future.
Places I visited: Nico Neko Zakkaya, Sunny's Florist, Lê Phin, Pillow Cat Books, and more.

My First Riso Printing Workshop
I always loved the feeling of a Riso print and have so many hanging on the walls of my apartment, I challenged myself to sign up for a workshop to make one of my own. At the print shop of Lucky Risograph in Brooklyn, I took part in creating a recipe book, collaging a page on cooking the Filipino dish, "Halo Halo", and also had the chance to make new friends!

Making the Perfect Latte as a Part-Time Barista
I always admired seeing the delicate work behind creating the perfect latte art that when I had the chance to be a part-time barista at my local coffee shop, I made it my mission to master it. It takes a lot of patience and thoughtfulness behind each cup, knowing the right amount of steam and the temperature before releasing the air into the milk, and the process is only a matter of seconds. I've still got a way to go before it's totally perfect, but seeing my first cup to the latest one I've made, it's shown me how much I've grown in almost a year.
